- CALLING ALL FOOTBALLS PLAYERS AND PARENTS....... -

On Sat. May 1st, all South Fayette Football players grade 8 thru 12 are being asked to volunteer a few hours of their time to participate in a Township Clean Up day.   The SF football players, in conjunction with the SF Soccer players, will work on picking up litter along Route 50.  The efforts of these two athletic groups will be recognized by the Township with the placement of a sign on each end of Rt. 50 stating that the "SF Football and SF Soccer teams have adopted this portion of the highway".   Coach Rossi is asking players and their parents to meet at Star City Cinemas at 9:00 am on Saturday, May 3rd.  We need to compile a list of volunteers, as we need approximately 30 to 40 to do this job quickly and efficiently.  Anyone interested in helping can contact a Board member to submit their names and to receive any additional information.  We would like to submit this list to Coach Rossi by Friday morning.    This is a great opportunity for our football family to support the township that has so greatly supported our team.  We look forward to a big turnout by our football team and parents--see you on Saturday!

 Sincerely,

SFTC

- 2nd Annual Nite at the Races big Success!! -

A Email letter from VP Betsy Challingsworth and the Board of Directors:

On behalf of the South Fayette Touchdown Club Board, we would like to take this opportunity to thank every person who helped to make our annual "Nite at the Races"  such a great success.  The event was attended by more than 250 people which was a greater than expected turnout.  This number attests to the large support that our football program is receiving from the residents of South Fayette.  Thank you!!

It takes a lot of people working together to make an event such as this successful and everyone involved did a great job.   While there are too many to name individually, we would like to thank those who donated items for the Chinese Auction (we had over 30) and for the Silent Auction (we had over 15).   Each item was greatly appreciated and added to the excitement of the night.   Thank you to the many volunteers who helped with set up, ticket sales, race betting/pay outs, and the Black Jack table.  The Nite at the Races ran smoothly because of your help.

Last, but certainly not least, a very special thank you to our Activities Coordinator, Maria Brumbaugh, for all of her hard work.  The dedication and enthusiasm that she showed for this event helped set the tone for a successful night.

The 2008 SF football coaches and players thank you for your support and for helping this season get off to a great start.  We look forward to seeing you at the games--GO LIONS!!

Sincerely,
The SF Touchdown Board
